DJ Static, a Wellingtonian who came 4th in last years Wellington Rumble heat, has come out on top ahead of the rest of the native Aucklanders.

Having moved up there for education reasons, Static was a deserved winner, as he displayed some innovation and technical skill that the other DJs failed to produce.

The other highlight for the evening was DJ Darnell coming 2nd. The only female in the competition, she will be joining Static to compete for the first prize in Wellington in October.

Strike was 3rd and Pakage was 4th.
